Data Migration is when you need to move the data that is associated with one program, system or website to another, different system. This often occurs when you have changed infrastructure and installed a new piece of software for a particular task. This is often the case when you get a new website or accounting package, and need the old data or content to now reside within the new system

We have been involved in many Data Migration tasks, and use programs such as MS Excel, MS Access and general programming skills to extract data from the current system and convert it into a format that is compatible with the new system When contracted by a company to do this type of work, we will work closely with the current teams members to understand how the data needs to be manipulated to fit into the new system. We have also worked in concert with the vendors who are managing the installation of the new software, who can provide us with the specifications on what format the data needs to be in for import into the new system.
